Location and Influence Area: |

The port of Salaverry (Terminal Portuario Salaverry) is under
ENAPU administration and serves Trujllo (Peru's third largest
city - 1'200,000 inhabitants) as well as the neighbour departments
of Ancash, Lambayeque and Cajamarca.

Salaverry
port (TPS) is located some 258 nautical miles North of Callao.
Its good linking with Trujillo (12 km) and the Panamerican Highway
(8 Km) makes the port of easy access by road to the shippers and
receivers (mainly fishmeal, fertilizers, mineral concentrates,
rice and sugar) located within its influence area.

Description: |
|
Salaverry, is an artificial harbour, "pier port" contantly
exposed to swell and surge. Its 700 mtrs. Long breakwater and
extensions recently added have reduced but not stopped its exposition
to swell and slight surge within the port operations area and
the piers. Silting is frequently for which dredging works are
permanently carried out.

The
entrance channel is 150 meters wide with a official depth of 32'
00" (SW). Ships above official draft can safely enter the
port during high tide period only, being the everage tidal range
between 2.5 and 3.0 feet.

Restrictions: |
Official
restrictions for the berths are: Max LOA: 200.00 mtrs / Max Draft
(SW): 32'00". For vessels exceeding the latter, (up to 32'06"
SWD) some arrangements can be done in advance with port administration
and pilots. (see official
restrictions).

Infrastructure: |
| There
are 2 concrete piers with description / dimensions as follows: |

Pier
1 225 mtrs. long x 25 mtrs. Wide. Is used for handling bulk
and general cargo. Concentrates are also loaded at this pier
by
means of "shore buckets" or mobile conveyor belt. Grains
are discharged using ship cranes + shore grabs or portable suction
equipment directly into trucks. |

Pier
2 225 mtrs. Long x 30 mtrs. Wide. This pier is equipped with
two loading towers for bulk sugar transferred by a belt conveyor
from a storage shed of 60,000 tons located at the southern end of
the pier. Each loading arm is designed for self trimming and has
a capacity of 150 to 200 tons per hour. |

is compulsory for berthing and unberthing. Upon arrival vessesl
must for designated pilot.

2 tugs are compulsory for vessels exceeding 120 mts LOA. |

port has a storage capacity of 60,000MT for molasses in a 7,500sq
mtrs. plus three open yards of about 2,500sq meters each one,
in which a total of general and bagged cargo of up to 20,000MT
can be stored. Also, a shed of 2,208sq mtrs is used to store general
cargo and news prints.
